CCM QuickLite Jr. Shin Guards
The QuickLite lineup is all about optimal mobility and the QuickLite QLT shin guards definitely delivers with the introduction of VentShield; and ZoteFoam technologies. The combination of VentShield and ZoteFoam are the key components in making these pads not only very protective but also contributes to the pads lightweight. VentShield is the hard perforated plastic found protecting the calf; while the ZoteFoam is found on the top and sides flaps of the thigh guard. ZoteFoam is lightweight and impact resistant helping the player to remain comfortable and protected. With both of these working together the QLT shin guards take breathability; protection; and optimized weight to the next level. For stability; CCM uses a nice thick elastic strap for the lower part of the shin; and then they use a comfortable padded nylon strap to secure the shin; giving nice stability behind the knee. With the QLT; CCM used a new lightweight shell design which includes ribs to help disperse high impact energy as well as including vents for increased airflow. A new hinged design also helps increase mobility and comfort as the knee really bends with you thanks to the hinges. The QLT's base layer is made with molded foam which makes it super light. As far as the liner DryFoam Technology is used; which is a closed cell foam that absorbs less sweat to allow the shin guards to remain lightweight and comfortable throughout the game. This liner is a removable liner that also features a premium microfiber that lines the interior of the shin. It features comfort foam and a nice thick knee donut to cushion collisions and falls.
